I have a 1998 ford f150 standard cab, 4x4, manual transmission, 4.2l v6 engine. 94 body / paint problems 4 nhtsa complaints: They will be able to test the starter motor, starter relay, ignition switch, and the wiring for the starter system to identify any problems and make the necessary repairs.
If they are loose or corroded, it acts as a barrier that can keep the starter from getting the voltage it needs to crank the engine. Went to start my truck and all i got was a click, further investigating this i noticed a loose cable on the bottom of the starter, or starter seliniod before i used to move it around and she would fire, now it wont. Does anyone know what the cable is or has ne ideas how to fix the problem.

By bearhart68 » thu oct 07, 2010 5:33 pm. Battery cables if you have a battery post that looks like this, it may be keeping your f150 from starting. The truck will crank fine but will not start.
Web rasmataz expert check and test the starter relay was this answer helpful? The only remanufactured starters i recommend: I turn the key and nothing happens besides the dashboard lights turn on.
